The Nu Alpha Chapter was installed at Appalachian State University on December 6th 2014. Since our initiation we have been heavily involved within the Appalachian community. We have worked hard to become a positive force in the Boone community through our philanthropy, scholarship, and sisterhood events and expectations that we have set for ourselves. We set goals for ourselves and we work to exceed them every chance we get. Nu Alpha has become synonymous with philanthropy as we have often not only promoted our own service events, but supported other events in the Panhellenic and National Panhellenic Communities. We have obtained the Jewel Chapter status due to our dedication to our philanthropic drive, and we work to maintain this everyday. While our service is a key part of who we are, it is not everything. We are dedicated to perfecting and maintaining our sisterhood that we have worked so hard to develop. Through various sisterhood events, including a paint fight, movie nights, cookie and pumpkin decorating, and bowling, we have grown closer as a group of dedicated and driven women. We have made connections and cultivated friendships that will last us not only four years but a lifetime.
